the yacht single-handed. Anunciada suffered no real injury, but appeared
hysterical, with what was thought to be a panic attack, and was taken to
hospital for observation.
Her husband, Don
Francisco Rodriguez, was a respected Spanish nobleman. He hated all breaches of
regulations or procedures, especially those that could potentially claim human
life. Complicating matters further was the fact that Señor Rodriguez was the
generous financial benefactor of the ‘Club de Vela Buen Viento’ (‘Good Wind
Sailing Club’). Francisco was, of course, very worried about what had happened
to his wife, and he made no secret of his anger. He accused Bella of having
negligently endangered his wife’s safety and threatened to have her dismissed,
before offering her an alternative.
Although it was not
easy to make a decision, Bella finally accepted Señor Rodriguez's proposal, to
not ask for her dismissal if she would agree to him administering 12 strokes of
the cane, to her whilst she was completely naked. He also added a stipulation
to increase her humiliation; the punishment must take place in the presence of
his wife, her mulatto maid, and Bella's husband so that all witness the
proceedings.
It subsequently
transpires that Señora Anunciada Rodriguez had deceived them all. She was in
love with the handsome doctor and was therefore jealous of Bella. She therefore
deliberately arranged the capsize and faked her panic attack to provoke Bella's
punishment.
As it turns out,
Anunciada gets discovered and receives her punishment, as does the mulatto
maid, and Bella keeps her job (though she is given a final written warning from
the committee).
Bella and her husband
are reconciled. Subsequently, he frequently recalls witnessing his wife’s
punishment, which invariably leaves him sexually aroused. An unsurprising
consequence is that Bella soon finds herself pregnant, giving birth to a
beautiful healthy little boy.
The protagonist of
this novel is a distinguished woman of English descent but already born in
Yemen, who, together with her mother, remained in this mysterious country of
South Arabia. However, history, politics, religion, local customs, ethnic
tensions and cultural differences have profoundly influenced her life. When she
was of legal age, she was married to an unknown Arab man. However, this man had
strange desires, which Yasmin accepted after some hesitation. As for the
sequel, some of the plots did happen, the rest could have happened. One part of
the story is real, the other is completely fiction. I will not tell which part
is true and which is the product of my creative fantasy. Instead, I offer you
to read the following interesting story.
Alice, the daughter of
a famous scientist discovered something quite interesting on a popular spanking
